Can I bring my own items?

Customers are allowed to bring in their own items for engraving. For over 60 years Specialty Engraving has engraved everything from traditional glass and acrylic to wine bottles and tumblers to railroad spikes and cookware.

Do they offer crystal awards?

Specialty Engraving has hundreds of crystal items for you to choose from.

What types of items do they engrave?

Is the service fast?

Specialty Engraving endeavors to have your products completed as quickly as possible. Our sales staff will stay in contact with you to keep you abreast of the progress. Our artist typically have your proof ready in 24 hours or less and regular turnaround for orders is 5-7 days. Rush Service is available as well.

Is RUSH Service available?

At Specialty Engraving, we understand that award needs come with deadlines, and nothing is more important than meeting them. We’re ready to help, with most products available with 1–2 day RUSH service. We can typically even help with same day same day service.

Do they do glass etching?

Glass etching is one of the main jobs of our company. We have over 60 years of experience in this field.

What are their hours?

Our Midtown Atlanta location is open Monday though Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Suwanee/Gwinnett County store is open Monday though Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Do they offer plaques?

Yes, Specialty Engraving has over 200 types of plaques to choose from: Traditional, Hardwoods, Piano Finish, Full Color, Perpetual, Glass/Mirror/Acrylic and more.

Can you help with the wording for the inscriptions on the awards?

Yes, with over 65 years in the business, we guide you every step of the way—from selecting the perfect award to crafting the ideal inscription and verbiage. Simply provide the basic information, and our art staff will create a fully inscribed proof for your review, patiently working with you on any changes you request.

Is parking available?

Yes, Both our locations, Midtown Atlanta and Suwanee have ample and free parking with handicap entry.

What are the payment options?

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, cash, checks, and ACH. 

Is the staff helpful?

Yes, Customer service is a top priority for us. Our knowledgeable sales staff are ready to guide you in choosing the right product. We emphasize clear communication and are available by phone, email, or through a dedicated artist to ensure every question is answered and every order is handled with care.

Is there a wide selection?

Yes, Specialty Engraving offers a wide variety of offerings. Literally 1000's for Awards, Trophies, Name tags, Crystal, Art Glass, gifts, and any other item you might want engraved.

Are the prices within budget?

Yes, We offer competitive prices to fill any budget. Let us build an award program specifically for your brand and event!

Do they offer custom designs?

Yes, Custom Designs are a Specialty! From conception to completion, we work to meet your expectations. We can add your custom logo and design to almost any product.

Do they engrave on wood?

Yes, Specialty Engraving is very experienced at engraving and printing on wood items.

Do you provide proofs?

Absolutely, Specialty Engraving provides proofs before production on all our products. You will receive your custom art proof typically within 24 hours. 

Where do I send my artwork and engraving instructions?

Online thru the website or you can upload Artwork and instructions, or e-mail it to online@specialtyengraving.com

What kind of engraving processes do you offer?

Specialty Engraving offers custom engraving / imprinting processes including laser engraving, fiber laser, sandblasting, UV printing, sublimation, Rotary Engraving, Diamond etch, Direct to film, Digital photo sublimation.  We have been engraving on customer items for over 60 years. From 1 piece to 1000 or more give us a call!

Do you do custom shaped awards?

We do custom awards in all shapes and sizes and we will design an award to accentuate your particular event or brand.  Check out our custom designed acrylic awards for ideas!

What is a Plaque Award?

A Plaque Award is a flat, decorative award typically made of wood, metal, glass, or acrylic, with an engraved or printed plate complete with text and logo recognizing an achievement. It is usually mounted on a wall or displayed on a desk. What is a Crystal Award?

A Crystal Award is a high-quality recognition trophy made from clear, polished crystal to honor special achievements. What is an Art Glass Award?

An Art Glass Award is a handcrafted recognition piece made from decorative, colored glass designed to celebrate special achievements. Unlike traditional clear trophies, art glass awards feature unique shapes, swirls, and vibrant colors, making each piece one of a kind. They are often displayed on a base with an engraved plate and are popular for corporate recognition, leadership awards, and special milestone celebrations because of their artistic, eye-catching appearance.

What is an Acrylic Award?

An Acrylic Trophy Award is a recognition trophy made from optically clear or colored acrylic, a durable plastic that looks similar to glass and crystal. It can be cut into any shapes and is often engraved or printed with names, logos, and achievements. Acrylic awards are popular for corporate events, schools, and sports because they are, modern-looking, and easy to customize.

  • Normal production time is 5 to 7 working days.
  • Large quantity orders may require 7 to 10 working days.
  • Rush service is available, call for details on your order.
  • All major credit cards accepted online as well as PayPal, Apple Pay, Shop Pay and more.
  • All accounts are C.O.D. until credit is established.
  • First-time orders are not eligible for billing.
  • Net 10 days for customers with established accounts.
  • MINIMUM BILLING IS $25.00!
  • All returns must be authorized by the factory
  • All costs incurred up to cancellation date will be billed.
  • Orders being changed after work has been completed will be subject to additional charges.
  • Artwork may be provided as hard copy, CD, or via email to your salesman.

A NOTE ABOUT ARTWORK:

  • Production delays can occur when digital artwork is provided in the wrong format. Much time can be lost with efforts to convert files that are submitted without following the information guidelines below. Please contact us if you have any questions about the suitability of your digital files or any of our format requirements. It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you also mail or fax a hard copy of the artwork and any special instructions. Please indicate your Order Number on the artwork if you know it.
  • Artwork is only as good as you provide. Simply because the art file is an EPS or TIFF format does not mean it will be clean and useable. Faxed, scanned, or art which has been reproduced numerous times will not improve and will not look its best without additional clean up efforts. Please do not submit web graphics as they are produced in a resolution setting (generally 72dpi) that is too low for our processes to reproduce attractively. We reserve the right to refuse any artwork that will not meet our standards of product quality when reproduced with our equipment and processes.

Preferred Program:

  • The latest version of CorelDraw Graphics Suites, – PC format (filename.cdr) - Remember to convert to curves.
  • Adobe Illustrator – version 12 or lower
  • File Formats (EPS,AI,TIFF or PDF )
  • Remember to convert text to paths.

Image Resolution:

  • Image resolution should be a minimum of 300 dpi for best reproduction.

File Information

  • You must include all EPS, AI or TIFF files used for the job.

Colors

  • When assigning a color to art or text, please use a PMS color. This will Work for process or spot colors.

File Storage Media

** We do not accept outside file or data storage. Please email your files or upload to a file storage service such as Dropbox, OneDrive, GoogleDrive or WeTransfer.**

  • DO NOT SEND AN ORIGINAL FILE – make a COPY!
  • Note: Following these instructions does not guarantee the art will output. If any of the above is not possible, please send in Camera Ready Art. (film or slick), 600 dpi or greater.
  • Artwork will be billed at $60.00 per hour. Minimum art charge is $25.00;
